Former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion and Cup Series Rookie of the Year Brett Moffitt will pilot the Victory Custom Trailers Chevrolet Silverado in the final two races of the season starting at Martinsville Speedway Friday night & at Phoenix International Speedway next weekend.
The team will be guaranteed a spot in the final two events due to having the points that Holmes had accumulated this season. Bret Holmes Racing announced the closure of the team back on October 25th
Chris Hettinger is a former racer and is the father of Katie Hettinger who has raced on the zMAX CARS Tour over the last two seasons. Hettinger became the youngest female race winner at Hickory Motor Speedway when she won a 50-lap Limited Late Model as part of the Bobby Isaac Memorial event. She is also Hickory’s youngest female Late Model race winner.
"Between the investments we’ve made over the years in our Late Model program and the opportunity to purchase BHR, the time was right to grow Hettinger Racing into a team that can further drivers’ development by seamlessly transitioning them from Late Models to ARCA to Trucks. We’ll continue our Late Model program by running the zMAX CARS Tour, and we’ll run select ARCA and Truck Series races that fit best with our overall schedule."
