Yewwweee! Episode 49 is on the scene and we welcome the latest winner in the GXS Street Stock Series Marlin Yoder to the podcast. From humble beginnings on Amish Farms in Wisconsin, Yoder had to obtain a small AM/FM radio to listen NASCAR races in secret as this type of contraband was not allowed on the Amish Farm he lived on. At the age of 17, he left the farm and his family with nothing but the clothes on his back to enjoy a different type of lifestyle. Yoder eventually got to watch his first NASCAR race and that led to his first race in person at Wisconsin Dells where his passion for the sport was ignited. The hard work and limited resources from his Amish days led him to eventually working for Hendrick Motorsports serving on Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Larson's crew. While working in NASCAR country, he was able to get a street stock put together and that has led him to his current racing career at Tri County Speedway where he is leading the points. He also discusses how big his win was at Orange County in the GXS Street Stock Series and what he hopes the series will turn into.
