Gary Ledbetter and Jeremy Gerstner

Gary Ledbetter and Jeremy Gerstner

Episode 38 is on the scene and the boys detail their split trip from Friday. Jody was at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway VA covering the SMART Modified Tour while Julian was at Tri County Speedway in Granite Falls NC covering the GXS Street Stock Series, CARS Tour Pro Late Model doubleheader.

We break down the SMART Modified powered by Pace-O Matic event from Franklin County Speedway with our analysis of the event. We also break down the inaugural GXS Street Stock Series LeapFrog 75 from Tri County Speedway. We would like to recognize Kyle Lynch for receiving the first ever Deez Lug Nutz Podcast Hard Charger Award. Kyle qualified 10th and finished second giving him the award!

Gary Ledbetter is no stranger to the Street Stock Scene in the Carolinas and it was appropriate that he won the debut Street Stock race at Tri County. He joins us on the podcast to tell us all about that, what this series means to street stock drivers, how he got into racing and once winning a race where he would actually be banned for a whole year because of it plus a whole lot more!

Jeremy Gerstner is a veteran on the modified scene and has raged wars on tracks in Florida, the Carolinas among other places. He joins us to talk about his run at Franklin County in the SMART Modified race. He also details his journey to where he is now, driving his RV and dually 10-12 hours from Florida to run races, why he hasn't been running at Bowman Gray this year and much more. It is a fun conversation with someone who has been in racing for 44 years so you don't want to miss it.

Jody and Julian debate if Chase Elliott should receive a playoff waiver following his suspension for his actions at Charlotte, talk about Corey Lajoie's big opportunity to replace him, Ryan Blaney finally breaking his long winless streak, Bubba and Aric Almirola's pit road tussle and more from the weekend in Charlotte.

Was Gio Ruggiero's last lap pass on William Byron fair or foul in the ASA Stars National Tour race from Hickory? Julian was at that race and he and Jody give their take on it.

The Solid Rock Carriers Late Model Stock race was rained out at Tri-County but that didn't stop Carson Kvapil from making more history in the Pro Late Model event. We will talk about that plus give a preview of the LMSC event from Larry King Law's Langley Speedway this Saturday night.

Julian closed in on Jody in their pie bet standings. Listen to whom they are picking this weekend plus race picks for World Wide Technology and Portland.

Rain forced a lot of action to be canceled this past weekend but the tracks are making up for that this weekend. Julian gives you the scoop on where you can support your local short track this weekend plus a lot more!
